I took some videos while we were showing the house to my parents.

We purchased our house today. Only took us about 6 months of searching and more showings than we can remember. But this is the one:

Key features:

• 12′ ceilings in the living room and dining room.
• 2.5 baths - .5 more than Jenni required. A bathroom on the first floor for guests was a must-have for her.
• A large master bathroom - about the size of our current bedroom. Jacuzzi tub, shower stall, and two sinks. TWO SINKS. That’s important. There might be a toilet in there too.
• 3 bedrooms. 3 real bedrooms - they all have doors, closets, and can hold a bed.
• Basement that is ready to be finished (the area around the stairs is already framed).
• Dirt.

The ad said “IT NEEDS COSMETIC WORK! BRING YOUR TOOLS AND IMAGINATION. NEEDS LOTS OF TLC.” I added the spaces after each sentence. There must have been a character limit that was insufficient for the listing realtor to convey the condition of the house. The pictures don’t do it justice, but this one does a decent job:

The rest of the house is as dirty as that door. We’re planning on doing a lot of work before we move in.
